Christmas Reefs stay til January 28th, 2012

The Christmas Reefs at Arlington National Cemetery will stay out until January 28th. We confirmed with the visitors center last week that they will indeed stay out for the rest of the month. This is an excellent time to take a photo of your family members gravestone with the beautiful Christmas Reefs in front of the grave.
Over 200,000 Christmas Reefs placed in Arlington National Cemetery

The Arlington National Cemetery will have over 220,000 Christmas Reefs placed on the graves by Wreaths Across America on December 10th, 2011. The group, from Harrington Maine, has been placing reefs at Arlington since 1992 and have laid more than one million reefs, quite an amazing story.

Winter hours now in affect - closing at 5pm

Arlington National Cemetery will now be going into the winter hours, 8am to 5pm, which takes place from October until March. Washington DC becomes dark very early in the winter, sometimes before 5pm. From April until September the hours go to 8am to 7pm.
